Since 1994 and after the implementation of long term tests over a period of more than 5 years GAMA has set up a first-rate integrated computer management system of the “hulls” and “goods” maritime insurance portfolio. This system is based on a micro-computer network connected to a central server and accessible to the outside by means of an ADSL connection. This very comprehensive programme enables all the documents and instruments related to maritime insurance to be automated. It also enables complete commercial and accounting management of the portfolio as well as the casualty files, which are entrusted to us for settlement and recovery. It also enables fine statistical analysis by policy, type of policy and financial year, or even product, origin and/or destination and figures including all forecasts to the nearest Euro. This tool has greatly helped to implement a totally integrated computer management system, which has no precedent in the world of maritime and transport insurance and has enabled us to achieve ISO 9002 certification in July 1998, then ISO 9001 certification, 2000 version in December 2003.
This system works in Windows, totally openly with Excel, Word and Windows office programmes.
